Howdy!

Aggie Gems is a women's organization at Texas A&M University. Our mission is to promote leadership through service, personal development, and philanthropic activities while encouraging a strong sense of sisterhood within our organization. For our philanthropy, we have been grateful enough to serve College Station's Head Start in providing underprivileged children the resources and tools that they rely on in their primary education.

Aggie Gems was founded on four pillars that our members strive to embody in everything that we do. Leadership, sisterhood, community involvement, and personal development are what we strive for as women of Texas A&M.

Ashley Clingman is one of our beloved Philanthropy chairs and the definition of a true Gem: loyal, kind, personable, the list goes on and on! She somehow manages to be the most generous and thoughtful person while also being the one to go to for a good time! You can always count on her to lend a helping hand for any event and was especially helpful during recruitment. We love and appreciate everything about her and cannot wait to see all of the amazing things she accomplishes!

They both individually have contributed so much to this org prior to recruitment and, together, they are truly the duo we didn’t know we needed! I have been on the sisterhood committee for 3 years now, and so being in this position is extremely full circle, and what I wanted all along. These girls have taught me so much about myself, supported me, celebrated me, and made my experience at A&M what it is. “Hiii loves! I’m Ashley Bills and I’m absolutely thrilled to be one of your Philanthropy Chris this year, along with my AMAZING co-chair, Ashley Clingman. In the short time I’ve been in Gems, I’ve been extremely fulfilled and been blessed to find a group of girls here who I can call my home. I absolutely fell in love with Aggie Gems from the second I went to talk to them at bannering and instantly knew this was something I wanted dearly to be apart of. Our philanthropy, Head Start, a preschool program aided to help low income families and provide a smooth transition and support for both the children and families as their children enter elementary school, was one of the most rewarding parts of my experience thus far. With that said, I feel so fortunate to be in a position this year to further facilitate Aggie Gems involvement with a cause that is so near and dear to my heart. “Through my time at A&M, I’ve gotten lots of opportunities and experiences I wouldn’t trade for the world, but the best decision I ever made was joining Gems. There are no words I could say that would accurately describe the love and support I have for these girls, and that I’ve received from these girls. “Coming from out of state, I had no idea where or how I would find my forever friends at a university with thousands of students. One thing that really stands out to me about Gems is how unique each person is and how it creates such a welcoming and inclusive environment. Everyone is incredibly accepting and has always encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, which has helped me feel confident in everything I do.

As Historian, I hope to make others feel as welcome and supported as I have felt in Gems. I am so thankful for this group of girls and cannot wait to grow our family! Our Purpose

Founded in 2014, Aggie Gems is a women's leadership organization that serves Texas A&M University and the greater Bryan/College Station area in order to better our community through our four pillars.

As Aggie Gems, we aim to grow as leaders while serving our community and creating forever-lasting friendships. So that each Gem may find their own individual success both here at Texas A&M and afterward in pursuits of their careers and future endeavors.

How has Gems positively impacted you?

Since I joined Gems my freshman year, my entire college experience has been shaped by this organization and I could not be more thankful! I have met lifelong friends, had experiences I’ll cherish forever and grown SO much! Gems is so much more than an organization to me, it’s a sisterhood full of women who are genuine, kind and always ready to be there for each other in good times and bad! I can’t imagine my life without my Gems and am so thankful they have shaped my time at TAMU!

Being a part of Aggie Gems has truly been the most amazing experience. It’s not just about joining a group; it’s about finding a community where you can truly grow. Aggie Gems has allowed me to meet so many inspiring women who have become more than just friends—they’ve become my family. The professionalism and support within Aggie Gems have been invaluable. The connections and bonds I’ve formed through this organization have truly enriched my life, providing me with a strong, supportive community that I’m grateful to be a part of!

Gems has been a home away from home! It has given me a community of strong, motivated and inspiring women that are always there to support one another. Whether I need a workout partner, a study buddy, or a major debrief session, I know that my girls will show up no matter the occasion. Through Gems, I have met my future bridesmaids and forever friends! I couldn't have asked for a better support system as I navigate college life and I am so excited for all the memories to come with these amazing ladies!

Gems has truly been one of the most impactful parts of my college journey. The friendships I have formed here have become some of the most genuine relationships in my life, and having that constant support from these amazing women has pushed me to grow both academically and personally. Everyone is so extremely accepting in Gems and have always encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and be confident in everything I do. Being surrounded by such a positive and encouraging community has shaped me into the person I am today, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it!!
